What is Critical Care?

Critical Care comprises of 9 Intensive Care beds at St Peter’s Hospital. This facility provides 24 hour care for eight level 3 and one level 2 beds.

Critical Care also supports the Outreach Service, providing cover out of hours for level 1 and 2 patients in the ward environment and offering advice to ward staff.

For more information about the service, please visit our website at: www.seqo.nhs.uk/asph_icu/.

Location

The intensive care unit (ICU) is along the level 3 corridor linking the outpatients area with the ward block.

Visiting times and anytime within reason. We have a quiet time between noon and 2.30pm. Afternoons are calmer and may be more suitable for a visit.
