Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical) - Band 4

Due to a vacancy within the team, an opportunity has arisen to join the Estates Team as a Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical). This is an exciting time in terms of the development of the Trust’s estate and this role plays a significant part in supporting our clinical services, making a real difference to our patients and the department.

You would need to have an apprenticeship, C&G, B-TEC ONC or recognised equivalent training in Electrical Engineering so that you are able to work on your own initiative and prioritize requests. Training may be available in site specific roles and you will be able to broaden and develop your skills with the support of the Works Officers. You will largely be working on the repair and maintenance of Trust assets Electrical power distribution, Lighting and fire alarm systems and plant controls There is programmed planned preventative and statutory maintenance on selected equipment that you will be involved in managing.

Salary: £22,143 to £24,949 p.a. inc. HCAS

Clinical Office Co-ordinator - Band 4

An exciting opportunity has arisen to further improve the Urology services at St Peter’s Hospital. The role of the Clinical Office Co-Ordinator is required to provide administrative support within the main clinical office; it requires a high level of organisational skills and someone who is good at communicating with a wide range of health care professionals as well as patients and their relatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for checking timetables, dealing with clinic capacity and the outpatient waiting lists for follow up patients.

AAA Screening Technician (part-time) - Band 4

Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospitals became a Foundation Trust in December, 2010 and was formed by the merger of St. Peter’s Hospital and Ashford Hospital in 1998. It is the largest non teaching Trust in the region and provides a full range of acute hospital services.

As a screening technician you will work for the West Surrey and North Hampshire Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme. Your role will be to screen men aged 65 years and over using ultrasound technology to detect abdominal aortic aneurysm in order to save lives.

Salary: £22,143 to £24,949 p.a. inc. HCAS

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, dynamic and committed individual to join our expanding Corporate Professional Development Team. We are looking to appoint an experienced nurse who wants to develop themselves in a clinical educator’s role and to help make a difference to the development of our Nursing Associate Apprentices and Health Care support workers.

Pre-Operative Assessment Nurse - Band 5

Ashford & St. Peters Hospitals Foundation Trust are looking for competent nurses able to support the pre-operative (Pre-op) assessment of patients prior to their date of surgery. The Pre-op team cover both Ashford & St. Peters hospitals; providing a One-Stop Shop facility (alongside our waiting list pool) for all patients surgical or orthopaedics.

Furthermore you will be working in a new innovative way with our new online pre-operative assessment service which allows patient to complete their Intragrated care pathway in the comfort of their own homes before attending their pre-operative assessment appointment.

Salary: £25,425 to £31,618 p.a. inc. of HCAS
