In this section, you will find information about travelling to our two hospitals in Surrey; Ashford Hospital in Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey. Both hospitals are easily accessible from the M25 and served by local buses.

Changes to accessing St Peter’s Hospital - from Monday 24th February
As part of the ongoing Transformation works at St Peter’s Hospital, there will be some temporary changes to how the main entrance of the hospital is accessed. As of Monday 24th February, for eight weeks, there will be no access for patient or visitor drop off at the front entrance. If you are being dropped off by car or taxi, please arrange to be dropped in one of the visitor car parks, which are free to park in for the first 20 minutes. The A&E car park is currently dedicated for blue badge parking and has the closest access to the hospital. You can find a map of the car parks here.
The main entrance will also be closed for pedestrian access. Entrance to the hospital from this side can be made via the temporary entrance, approx. 25 yards from the main entrance, which will be signposted. This entrance guides you along a short corridor, past the café to the main reception area.
If you travel by bus or car, your route will not be affected-the bus stop and route into the hospital on foot from these locations will not change, you will just enter through the temporary entrance as opposed to the main entrance. There will still be 20 minutes free drop off in all of the visitor parking areas.
The Patient Transfer Service will run as normal and the necessary arrangements are in place for patients to be dropped at the Duchess of Kent entrance. Access to BMI remains the same.

Changes to Patient and Visitor Car Parking at St Peter’s Hospital
Between October 2019 and July 2020 a new multi-deck car park will be built on the site of the current outpatients’ car park at St Peter’s. Parking has been a challenge on the site for many years and the new car park will help us to greatly improve the situation for patients, visitors and staff.
The new car park is just the first step of an exciting three year investment programme to radically transform services and facilities at Ashford and St Peter’s. 446 Bus Route
From 30 September 2019, White Bus will be introducing a new timetable on service 446, which will offer a new half-hourly service between Woking and St Peter's Hospital on weekdays as well as minor re-timing throughout the week.
Just a reminder that ASPH and SABP staff will have free travel on the 446 on showing their Trust ID.
Dial-A-Ride services (usually door-to-door) are available to anybody who does not have easy access (because of where they live) to normal bus services for journeys to the hospital, has difficulty changing buses or cannot use them for mobility reasons.
The Dial-A-Ride services to be provided by Woking Bustler must be booked in advance and are available for appointments at the hospital between 0830 and 1700 hrs., on Mondays to Fridays. An intending passenger must first register to become a Bustler member. The Bustler serves all of Woking Borough as required by bookings made and accepted. For more information, contact:
