Joss Bigmore Joss Bigmore is the Group Chair of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals (ASPH) and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trusts. He first joined the NHS in March 2023 as Chair of Royal Surrey, and was appointed ASPH Chair in February 2026. |

She has extensive experience in operational, strategic, and transformational roles across a range of challenging and diverse healthcare settings. She has worked in and led local, regional, and UK wide services in highly regulated environments and has strategic level expertise with an extensive understanding of governance across and between organisations in the public sector. |

Louise Stead Louise Stead was appointed as Group Chief Executive of Ashford and St Peter’s and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trusts in January 2025. Louise qualified as a registered nurse in 1988 and had a varied clinical career across many specialities in a number of London teaching hospitals. |

James A Thomas James joined the Trust in 2015 as Associate Director of Operations for Theatres, Anaesthetics, Surgery and Critical Care, and went on to become Director of Operations the following year. |

Jay Dungeni Jay joined the trust in January 2025. He has worked in the NHS for over 25 years, initially as a healthcare assistant whilst studying for his adult registered general nurse qualification which he attained in 2001. His first clinical placement as a student nurse was at Ashford Hospital in 1999. |

Dr Mark Roland Mark is a Respiratory Consultant with an interest in lung cancer and end of life care. He has worked at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust since 2004 and became Deputy Medical Director in 2019. He became an Associate Medical Director (Operations) in 2017. In 2023 Mark enjoyed a six-month period as Acting Medical Director for the Trust. |

Chris Attoe Chris was appointed as Interim Director of Strategy at ASPH in June 2025 following the Director of Strategy and Sustainability’s secondment as Interim Chief Executive at CSH Surrey. |

Andy Brooks Andy joined the Trust as Non-Executive Director at the beginning of September 2024. He is an experienced board level health care leader and practicing clinician and has delivered significant strategic change across multiple health and charity sectors in complex and challenging environments. |

Ruth Colburn Jackson Ruth joined Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust as Group Director of Transformation in September 2025. Ruth brings over 20 years of NHS experience spanning finance, corporate services, operational leadership, commissioning, and system development at local, regional, and national levels. |

Jane Dale Jane has an extensive and diverse background working within the NHS, after joining in 1982 as a student nurse. After qualifying as a registered general nurse and then midwife, she worked as a ward manager, practice nurse, community team leader, and nurse trainer, before moving into management as a clinical governance manager for a primary care and community provider and commissioner. After this she was appointed Director of Clinical Care, responsible for pharmacy, primary care and community services. |

Simon Devonshire OBE Simon has an extensive corporate career and is also a serial entrepreneur. He previously ran O2 Business, the business division of the mobile-network and co-founded Wayra Europe, the business accelerator belonging to Telefonica. He served as Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) for the UK Government for three and a half years, reporting to the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy. Simon co-founded One Water which has donated more than £25m to providing clean water in Africa. He also helped scale-up Zopa.com at seed-stage. |

Jo Fanning Jo joined the Trust as Chief People Officer at Ashford and St Peter’s in January 2024. She has worked in the NHS for 24 years, starting as a HR Assistant in a mental health and community Trust in West Sussex, where she stayed for 10 years building her career in HR. In 2009, Jo moved to an acute Trust in Sussex and carried out a variety of HR roles while there, staying for 13 years. Jo joined The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in September 2021 as Deputy CPO before being appointed Interim CPO in November 2022. |

Julie Fisher Julie joined the Trust in January 2026, bringing a strong commercial background in procurement and digital transformation alongside extensive public and private sector board experience. She is passionate about building alliances that deliver better outcomes for patients and communities. |

Hannah Hamilton Hannah Hamilton joined Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Chief Finance Officer in July 2025. Hannah brings extensive experience from both the NHS and the private sector. Most recently, she was Chief Finance Officer at NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board, and before that, she served as Regional Director of Finance at NHS England, where she oversaw a £17bn budget for the South East and supported delivery of national and regional priorities. |

Chris Kane Chris joined the Trust in August 2021 and is an author, advisor and advocate with over 30 years experience in Corporate Real Estate sector having operated as the Vice President of International Corporate Real Estate for The Walt Disney Company, before acting as Head of Workplace at the BBC, where he was responsible for the creation of MediaCityUK in Salford, the redevelopment of Television Centre and oversaw the £1bn development of Broadcasting House. |

Tom Smerdon Tom has extensive experience in the NHS, having worked at executive level in operational management and strategy across the acute and community sectors. He recently served as interim CEO for CSH Surrey, a social enterprise providing NHS community services in the NW Surrey area. Prior to that he led the strategy function at ASPH, developing corporate and clinical strategy and providing executive leadership of transformation across the NW Surrey health system. |
