First Steps day nursery at St Peter’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has just celebrated with their two apprentices, Paige Ayres and Ellie Nardooni, who have just completed their Level 2 NVQ in childcare.
Paige said: “It’s going really well, Caroline Peaston, our N&B assessor, is really helpful and the girls at First Steps Nursery are very supportive. I started my apprenticeship in December 2016 and I have just completed my level 2.”
Dawn Hunt, Childcare manager at the nursery said: “I am extremely proud of the N&B training programme we provide at Frist Steps and they are lovely girls.”
Ellie said:” it’s fun and it’s a good way to get your first job. Everyone at First Steps is friendly.”
Both are delighted to be continuing their level 3 at First Steps. Nursery mum Rebecca Fairbairn said, “Paige and Ellie are both brilliant. My son has had both of them as his key worker whilst at First Steps Day Nursery and developed a fabulous bond with both girls. They bring light, laughter and energy into the nursery and are generally loved by all.”
