About the Department

The Surgical Department is made up of 4 Surgical Wards, Kingfisher, Falcon, Heron and the Surgical Assessment Unit and the Surgical High Dependency beds – all based on the St. Peter’s Hospital Site.

The Trust provides a wide range of nursing care to a variety of surgical patients from colo-rectal, upper GI, breast, urology, gynaecology and bariatric.

The wards work closely with other departments in the hospital such as the Emergency department, Theatres and Critical Care.

You can be part of Team ASPH and help us to deliver our vision ‘Together We Care’, to provide an outstanding experience and the best outcome for both patients and the team.

We believe in providing safe, high quality and effective modern healthcare to all our patients, with award-winning nurses at the heart of our services.

During the recruitment event you will have the opportunity to discuss your career pathway, continuous professional development, preceptorship and induction programs.
