The Healing Arts programme has delivered several innovative projects that have helped us to improve the quality of patient experience in our care and wellbeing of our staff. We have done this through creative health programmes and enhancing the hospital environment to create a friendly and welcoming space for all.
We have done this by:
- Supporting patient experience and quality of care - where non-clinical interventions can support health and wellbeing and aid recovery of patients in our care.
- Improving hospital environment and green spaces - improving hospital environment and access to green spaces has a positive effect on reducing patient anxiety and aiding recovery.
- Supporting staff wellbeing - improving the work environment for staff and working closely with them to deliver innovative projects dedicated to improving patient experience, environment and tackle inequality.

Supporting patients in our care
From puzzles to creative resources, we continue to provide children and adults in our care ways to support and enhance wellbeing, reduce anxiety and stress and relieve boredom.

Creative programmes and improvements to the environment
From big to small improvements, it all makes a positive difference to create a calm and relaxing space for our visitors, patients and staff across our hospitals. From transforming wards to installing artwork, this makes a huge difference and aids recovery.
